Twelve mornings to discover the software environments for musical creation developed at IRCAM.
Open to composers familiar with Max/MSP programming (see prerequisites), this workshop offers demo sessions and discussion, as well as hands-on sessions enabling the discovery of different domains of musical research investigated at IRCAM: principles and methods for writing spatialization (Spat and Max), score following and controlling electronics (Antescofo), assisted improvisation (Omax), orchestration and synthesis from samples (Orchis and Max), writing sound synthesis (OM and Max), motion capture / gesture-sound interaction, voice processing. During the afternoons, the composers signed up for these workshops can attend other activities organized by the academy (such as rehearsals or instrumental master classes) as auditors.
