Luca Francesconi, born in 1956, is the successor of his master, Luciano Berio. Lyric expressivity, the construction of a musical drama, the inclusion of technologies are constant concerns for the Italian composer who encountered notable success in 2011 with the premiere of Quartett, based on the writings of Heiner Müller and directed by la Fura dels baus at La Scala in Milan.

Philippe Manoury, professor in San Diego and computer music pioneer, is one of the musicians who followed, with persistence, the dialogue with scientific research and technological innovation. Known in the worlds of opera (La Nuit de Gutenberg premiered in Strasbourg in September 2011), symphony and concertante (new concerto for piano with Frédéric Neuburger), and works for soloists with electronics in real-time, Philippe Manoury will celebrate his 60th birthday in June 2012.

Essential meetings with personalities such as Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Wim Vandekeybus, or William Forsythe punctuate his works. Bearer of this multidisciplinary spirit, Thierry De Mey is on of the directors of Charleroi Danse.
