 !  Registration

All participants may attend all Acanthes classes and concerts. The number of ‘active’ or participating students is limited, candidates are selected on the basis of their dossiers in accordance with the procedures described here below. The composers and performers, not selected in the "active" category may request their participation as non-active members only.

Participants accepted must remain present throughout the duration of the Centre.

Bursaries 2009

Two types of bursary are available, and may be awarded separately or combined:

Course fees bursary:
• active participant: 230 €
• non-active participant: 200 €
• Accommodation costs bursary: 160 €

Applications for bursaries must be justified and accompanied by a reference letter. They will only be considered after the application fees have been paid.

Bursaries will be granted after examination of applications.

Half the bursary will be paid on the first day of the course, the other half on the last day. Recipients who leave early will not receive the second payment unless their departure is due causes beyond their control.

Welcome and registration to take place at the Acanthes office in Metz (Arsenal Avenue Ney) Thursday, 2 July from 2 to 6pm.

The courses will be given in French, or English, and wherever possible benefit from simultaneous translation.

Active and non-active participants

Registration conditions:
A full dossier must be sent to Acanthes including:

by postal mailing:

– The registration form duly completed and signed,
– Scores and if possible a recording (CD, MP3, etc..) for students who enrol in the composition workshops,
– Registration fees

And preferably by (or, if not, possibly included in your postal expedition):

– a recent ID photograph (document.jpg if possible)
– A curriculum vitae (studies, current activities, accomplishments in the area of composition, etc.), written preferably in French and/or in English. (.rtf if possible).

Registration fees:

The registration fee is 35 € net of all related costs (e.g. bank charges), payable as follows to:

– French-cheque in euros made out to ACDA,
– Cheque issued by a foreign bank, drawn on a French bank, to the order of ACDA and drafted in euros,
– Through bank (RIB [full bank details] RIB downloadable
– By international money order made out to ACDA, (for example MoneyGram in the name of Clotilde Turpin or Eric de Gélis)
– Cash.

Application fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Registration deadlines (postmark is proof of posting):

– 26 January 2009 for the composition workshops
– 18 May 2009 for the other activities

Any dossier received that is incomplete or without due fees will be rejected.
Please add any information you wish (motivation, reference letters etc...) for the selection committee which will examine your application....

Successful applicants for composition workshops will be notified
from 16 February 2009 and for other activities from the 1 June.

Tuition fees:

Tuition fees must be paid in full before classes start. This must be paid either in cash or by French cheque.

Training course fees:
Active participant: 230 €
Non-active participant: 200 €
